Francis Cabrel zingt al sinds halverwege de jaren '70 en veel mooie nummers zijn er van zijn hand gekomen. Toch bleef de in francophone gebieden zeer gewaardeerde zanger wat steken: hij ging zich herhalen en muzikale progressie zat er blijkbaar niet in, mogelijk ook tengevolge van de drukte horende bij zijn burgermeesterschap van een stadje in de pays d'oc. Maar wat een terugkomst! En een heel nieuw geluid, voller, letterlijk, met gebruik van zijn grote verzameling gitaren maar ook met gebruik van uitstekende musici.Zet de cd op, luister naar het eerste nummer en bedenk dat dit niveau de hele plaat doorgaat! Dit is zelfs te genieten voor mensen die geen frans spreken.
